Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our SIGINT Systems team.  The ideal candidate possesses experience with real-time signals processing, algorithms, design, and documentation.  Familiarity with requirements writing and software development is a must.  Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Essential Functions:

  • SIGINT Sensor Technical Subject Matter Expertise - AlgorithmsMBSE, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Analog and Digital Communication, Data Mining, Direction Finding, Navigation Systems, TDOA/FDOA Geolocation, SIGINT/COMINT.
  • System-Level Requirements Analysis & Verification.
  • Design Component - RF Transceiver Systems, Xilinx Virtex FPGA, Analog to Digital Converter (ADC), Ethernet, MicroBlaze, OpenMP, PCI-Express, Polyphase Filter, RS-232/422, SATA, SPI, TCP/IP, Precision Timing and Navigation, Inertial Navigation System, UAS payload.
  • Development/Management Tools - Cameo Systems Modeler, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, MATLAB and Simulink, Vector Signal Analyzer/ Generator, Oscilloscope, DxDesigner, Xpedition, Siemens ModelSim, AMD/Xilinx Vivado, Linux, Git, GitLab, IBM Rhapsody.
  • Languages - SysML, C/C++, Python, Java, UML, Bash, MATLAB M-Code, SystemVerilog, Tcl/Tk, Verilog, VHDL, Javascript, Typescript.
  • Technical skills include experience or proficiency with Linux administration, Bash scripting.
  • Understand basic networking and network diagrams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CompTIA Security+ or higher certification.
  • Familiarity with classified media handling and working in secure environments.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with twelve (12) years of experience with Windows, LINUX, and UNIX-based operating systems and working in secure areas.
  • Graduate Degree with ten (10) years of experience with Windows, LINUX, and UNIX-based operating systems and working in secure areas.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of sixteen (16) years of experience with Windows, LINUX, and UNIX-based operating systems and working in secure areas.
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI at the time of hire.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Comp TIA Security+ certification.
