Project Engineer
We’re looking for an experienced Project Engineer to lead complex, high-impact projects that drive our organization forward. In this role, you’ll serve as a technical authority, working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and ensure project success.
What You’ll Do:
As a Project Engineer, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of assigned programs alongside the Program Manager. Your key responsibilities include:
- Planning & Execution – Lead and coordinate program activities to ensure timely delivery.
- Program Oversight – Develop, document, and approve program plans, ensuring compliance with lifecycle processes.
- Risk Management – Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaboration & Leadership – Work closely with internal teams and senior leadership to drive project success.
- Customer Interaction – Act as a primary technical point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Performance Tracking – Monitor project performance, ensuring alignment with budget and schedule.
Who You’ll Work With:
You’ll collaborate with a diverse team, including Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Logistics, Technical Publications, and more. You’ll also coordinate with Manufacturing, Hangar, Dock, and Line (HD&L) teams to ensure smooth operations.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering and minimum twelve (12) years of prior relevant experience. A BS in an advanced technical discipline, other than engineering, may also be considered. A Graduate Degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of prior related experience. In lieu of an engineering or technical degree, a minimum of sixteen (16) years of prior related experience.
Demonstrated experience performing in a Project Engineering or similar technical leadership role. In lieu of project engineering experience, demonstrated experience in one or more of the following disciplines may be considered (two or more preferred):
- Aeronautical Engineering (electrical, structural, mechanical, stress, mass properties, aerodynamics, etc.)
- Software Engineering/Computer Science
- Hardware Engineering
- Systems Engineering
An active DoD Top Secret (SCI) Security Clearance with the ability to maintain, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Experience with the following areas is required:
Demonstrated experience with program planning, guidance, and engineering execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
Demonstrated experience understanding engineering processes and policies
Demonstrated experience in bidding and proposals
Demonstrated experience with aircraft integration, test and delivery
Demonstrated experience with FAA type certification
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience with Gulfstream airframe(s) and/or products
Capture and Proposal Development
Architecting mission system configurations to meet customer needs
Very Important Person (VIP) Special Airlift Mission
Demonstrated experience with subcontract management
Demonstrated executive level communication (to include internal and Customer stakeholders)
