Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager that will be involved in activities directly related to the management of a team of experienced system engineers. Will be required to lead a team of system engineers through the development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system architecture design, hardware and software integration, and verification and validation activities related to SIGINT/ELINT Airborne Systems.
Essential Functions:
- Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts.
- Manages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the SIGINT Systems department goals.
- Manages the experienced professionals of the SIGINT Development Systems department.
- Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for the SIGINT Development Systems department to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business goals.
- Has hiring, firing, promotion and compensation authority within the SIGINT Development Systems organization.
- Communicates with parties within and outside of the organization, which includes large customers and vendors.
- Works to influence others to accept new practices, concepts, and approaches.
- Requires ability to communicate and influence leadership regarding matters of substantial importance to the SIGINT Systems department.
- Use of Microsoft office applications.
- Responsible for improving upon existing processes or establishing new processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of design, development, and/or testing of ELINT RF Antenna systems experience.
- Graduate Degree with 10 years of design, development, and/or testing of ELINT RF Antenna systems experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of design, development, and/or testing of ELINT RF Antenna systems experience.
- Must have an Active Secret Clearance at the time of hire.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience leading and establishing guidance across diverse teams.
- Leadership - Task or IPT Leader and/or Functional Management.
- Entire Program/Engineering Life Cycle Phases and Activities.
- IRAD and Technical Baseline development/management.
- Requirements Management experience.
- Proposal Development experience.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
