Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Program System Architect to lead and manage the architecture, design, and technical direction of a major program area. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, assisting development, and delivery of complex air and ground systems of systems, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and program goals. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to lead complex projects and teams.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the technical lead for architecture and design and interface with Program Management, Project and Chief Engineers, and Customers to ensure architectures meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of air and ground systems of systems, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with customer requirements.
- Chair architecture and design engineering review boards.
- Brief senior leadership and high-ranking air force officials, both foreign and domestic on technical details of the systems, platforms, and architectures.
- Develop long term technology roadmaps for customer programs coinciding with programmed maintenance intervals
- Understand and apply emerging security principals and compliance requirements to system architectures.
- Experience in technical roles demonstrating expanding technical and design scope. This could include roles as a Systems Architect, Chief Engineer, Project Engineer, and/or Systems Engineer.
- Managing multi-million dollar projects and leading technical teams.
- Demonstrated competence with Group A and Group B equipment specification and design
- Designing and specifying systems using networks for high speed, NRT data flows
- Will use DOORS for requirements management and JIRA for development planning and management.
- Well versed in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.
- Leading IPTs and chairing engineering configuration control boards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate and lead complex projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to brief senior leadership and high-ranking officials.
- 15% travel, primarily international
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 15 years of extensive experience in designing, developing, and delivering air and ground systems.
- Graduate degree with 13 years of extensive experience in designing, developing, and delivering air and ground systems.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of extensive experience in designing, developing, and delivering air and ground systems.
- Previous experience with Big Safari SIGINT Mission systems.
- Must have an Active Top Secret with SCI and SSBI DoD clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen.
