Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Pricing Manager to oversee a strategic pricing team focused on developing competitive, compliant, and financially sound pricing solutions for domestic and international pursuits. This role will lead a team of pricing professionals and work closely with the proposal team to develop winning pricing strategies aligned with customer requirements and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in competitive proposal development and team leadership, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain a high-performing team through coaching, development, accountability, and collaboration.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and sustain a high-performing pricing team through coaching, training, development, performance management, and a culture of continuous learning, accountability, collaboration, and operational discipline.
- Lead complex pricing efforts across multiple contract types, ensuring timely execution of proposal milestones, compliance with solicitation requirements, and development of executive-level pricing recommendations that improve win probability, profitability, and growth.
- Develop and execute strategic pricing approaches aligned with customer requirements, business objectives, affordability targets, and competitive positioning.
- Conduct Price-to-Win (PTW) assessments, competitor benchmarking, historical analysis, and market research to inform pricing strategies and strengthen proposal competitiveness.
- Assess pricing risks, opportunities, tradeoffs, and key assumptions, and present recommendations to senior leadership during milestone and proposal reviews.
- Partner closely with capture, business development, finance, contracts, proposals, and program leadership to support bid/no-bid decisions, pursuit strategies, investment decisions, and overall pricing governance.
- Interpret Requests for Proposal (RFP) and ensure pricing approaches comply with solicitation instructions, contractual requirements, and internal review standards.
- Oversee the development of pricing models, cost narratives, business case analyses, and supporting documentation for strategic pursuits.
- Develop and evolve pricing frameworks, benchmarks, metrics, and analytical tools by integrating AI-driven insights and emerging technologies to drive smarter pricing decisions, improve proposal outcomes, optimize margin performance, and increase process efficiency.
- Drive consistency in pricing assumptions, recovery approaches, competitive positioning, and supporting documentation across pursuits.
- Support peer reviews and color team reviews to ensure proposal quality, compliance, and pricing integrity.
- Contribute to affordability initiatives, financial planning assumptions, and rate related considerations as needed to support proposal development.
- Leverage enterprise tools and AI to improve efficiency, consistency, and data driven decision making.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on pricing strategy, proposal risk, and competitive positioning.
- Minimal travel required, approximately 15%.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Must be a US citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Prior leadership or mentoring experience.
- Familiarity with government contracting requirements, including FAR, DFARS, CAS, TINA, and related proposal compliance requirements.
- Experience with ProPricer, Excel-based pricing models, AI enabled analytical tools, and other financial analysis or business intelligence tools to support strategic pricing, competitive assessments, and data driven decision making.
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Business Development, Programs, Contracts, and Operations.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities and deadline driven pursuits.
- Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills; self-directed and proactive.
