Job Description:

L3Harris is currently seeking a Lead, Software Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Greenville, TX facility and offers a 9/80 schedule.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Engage effectively in collaboration across Software Engineering groups and with cross-functional teams.
  • Able to communicate effectively and work closely across departmental and cross functional teams.
  • Perform software coding and debugging, perform software unit tests, and integrate software components.
  • Support continuous improvement, process innovation, and lessons learned activities.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

 

Qualifications:

  • Active US Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated operational experience in cyber-security needs and impacts.
  • Demonstrated functional and object-oriented development experience in LINUX using high level languages such as C/C++ or JAVA.
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile development and essentials of DevOps.
  • Demonstrated software component experience in design, development, implementation, and integration in a system of systems.
  • Demonstrated background using scripting languages such as Bash and Python.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active US Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Experience in Design Patterns and Frameworks.
  • Understanding of virtualization, containerization, and hybrid computing environments.
  • Experience with Aerospace/DoD programs
  • Experience with communications system integration, RF systems, computer, network, storage, software development, Multi-Level Security systems, and mission interface designs.
  • Experience with ISR Systems.
  • Experience in SQL/NoSQL database design and queries.
  • Software and hardware troubleshooting background.
  • Experience with software automated test tools and frameworks.
  • Multi-threaded, parallel, and/or GPU programming experience.
