Job Description:

L3Harris is currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Greenville, TX facility and offers a 9/80 schedule.

Essential Functions:

• 6+ years of object-oriented development experience using C++ or JAVA.
• Experience in Agile development and essentials of DevOps.
• Software component development, implementation, and integration in Linux.
• Experience using scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• Proven record of communicating effectively and work closely with assigned teams.
• Ability to analyze requirements and design tradeoffs against scope, cost, and schedule constraints.
• Champions continuous improvement, process innovation, and lessons learned activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience.
• Eligible to obtain DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience in Design Patterns and Frameworks.
• Experience in SQL/NoSQL database design and queries.
• Software and hardware troubleshooting background.
• Experience with software automated test tools and frameworks.
• Active Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
• Multi-threaded, parallel, and/or GPU programming experience.
• Google Protocol Buffers and network socket programming
