Job Description:

The L3Harris Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) is looking for a self-motivated, high-energy individual to join our team as an Airworthiness Project Lead.  This position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  The ideal candidate must have the ability and willingness to work in a team environment.  This position reports to the Manager of the Airworthiness Project Lead group.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate on multi-functional and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve company and customer goals.
  • Participate in proposal and bid development, ensuring sound airworthiness strategies and accurate budgetary estimates.
  • Create and review FAA and Military project certification plans and compliance reports.
  • Track and report certification project status and budgets.
  • Coordinate with company engineers on certification practices, concepts, and approaches to demonstrate compliance with FAA regulations and military airworthiness criteria.
  • Communicate effectively throughout the organization, including with leadership, customers, and vendors.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and offer suggestions to enhance certification process efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires comprehensive knowledge of job area; may have in-depth knowledge of project management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience, OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, OR in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Strong project management skills related to certification processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 23 and 25 regulations
  • Knowledge of MIL-HDBK-516 criteria
  • Existing DoD SECRET Security Clearance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Previous experience with leading certification teams
