Job Requirements:
Engineering Technician position with emphasis in circuit card assembly and test. The scope of the position requires a range of responsibilities spanning the following areas: circuit card assembly, test equipment inventory and calibration, D38999 cable fabrication and test, coax cable fabrication and test, troubleshooting and test of RF and digital LRU's.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Associate Degree in Applied Sciences or related field with a minimum of (20) years of applicable experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
· Experience hand soldering fine pitch components on circuit cards such as 0201 style components, fine pitch QFN components with ground paddles, etc.
· Experience modifying multi-layer RF and digital printed circuit boards by adding components, drilling out plated through holes, modifying internal and external nets, etc.
· Ability to derive techniques to install components using nonstandard assembly practices
· Ability to use schematics and wire lists to build and test circuit cards
· Ability to rework circuit cards based on updates to artwork and/or schematics
· Experience building and testing circuit cards/LRU’s with minimal or “back-of-a-napkin” documentation
· Experience using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators to test and characterize RF components and equipment is a plus.
· Ability to manage test equipment inventory and calibration
· Ability to manage and inventory supply room including wire, hardware, and chemicals
· Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship
