Job Description:
The Associate Aircraft Maintenance Manager is responsible for Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks. Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information. Contributes to systems and processes changes in work routines. Works to achieve operational targets that impact team results. Manager must demonstrate strong leadership and managerial skills to lead several tasks simultaneously to achieve on-time delivery.
Essential Functions:
- Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
- Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
- Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor and is responsible for managing two or more of the following activities related to operations: manufacturing, production planning, manufacturing engineering, test, quality, or shipping/receiving/stores.
- Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including total quality management, manufacturing systems, material management, and process re-engineering.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Position requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, and the ability to maintain the stated clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Demonstrated experience as Supervisor/Lead with general aviation, military aircraft or aircraft modifications.
- Demonstrated experience with Excel, Manpower Forecasting, BW, SAP, T.O’s, TPS, EEST, PWA, Engineering Drawings, Planning and Quality Processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Electrical / Structural modifications and assemblies.
- Demonstrated experience navigating schematics and maintenance manuals as required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and planning for depot-level maintenance and baseline modifications on various airframes.
- Demonstrated ability coordinating with other functional groups and support organizations.
- Must be flexible to work off shifts and overtime
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Clearance
- RC-135 experience a plus
