Job Description: 

This Associate, Program Manager is an entry level position within the VSG P250 Program Office.  The selected candidate will support and maintain multiple projects required for aircraft platform assigned to the Program Office.  The additional duties to be assigned will include all Subcontracts, Risk, Change Management, CDRLs, Proposals, Action Items, Meeting Minutes, Visit Certs for upcoming meetings, etc. This candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment with multiple efforts in work simultaneously.  Nice to have a working knowledge of project management that includes administrative functions for program initiatives while adhering to contractual obligations and subsequent reporting.

The qualified candidate must be able to:

  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized and dedicated to a fast-paced working environment.
  • Must be able to set daily task and set goals to take ownership for their assignments.
  • Assist Program Managers with all tasks to include building PowerPoint charts, program meeting minutes and action items
  • Have strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills that will facilitate in creating and maintaining a collaborative work environment which includes providing decisive and constructive feedback.
  • Acts as the customer interface for program activities and participates in program meetings/reviews with the customer and executive staff.
  • Demonstrate and insist on ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values.


Essential Functions:

  • Assist with the cost, schedule, and technical performance of program.
  • Attention to detail is paramount and following direction is key
  • Respond to the customer's needs and be able to respond to quick reaction needs. As required, support request/coordination outside of normal business hours.
  • Brief customer, user, and upper management on all facets of the assigned projects.
  • Assist program managers with preparation of proposals, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets, Program Risk, and financial terms/conditions of contract. 
  • Effectively communicates with all levels of co-workers, senior management, and customer. 
  • Work with all functions assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas to identify areas of improvement for systems and processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

  • Active Secret Security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Tools proficiency
  • Experienced and comfortable briefing to high-level customer strongly desired. 
  • Experience with compliance to and execution of policies, procedures, and process.
  • Experience with continuous improvement effort through all phases of program execution
