Job Description: 

Industrial Engineers will employ techniques and methods to assist functional management in implementing improvements to the manufacturing process in terms of productivity, quality, and cycle times.

Essential Functions: 

  • Perform work measurement, process flow analysis, and develop/implement tools/methods for measuring productivity and program cost performance
  • Pull, analyze, and report data to support Manufacturing/Supply Chain Management in making key decisions
  • Develop, validate, implement, and maintain labor standards for a variety of manufacturing and supply chain processes
  • Work jointly with cross-functional engineering groups performing concurrent engineering and producibility analysis
  • Implement process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • Communicate excellently across all levels (both written and verbal)
  • Learn quickly and adapt to new environments
  • Develop manufacturing work standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (in Industrial Engineering or similar field) 
  • Applicants must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

Along with being fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint applications, it is desirable for the individual filling this position to possess the following:

  • The ability and drive to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
  • Application of analytical/statistical techniques such as regression analysis and linear programming
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and/or supply chain/logistics methods and processes
  • Work experience in non-repetitive, design-to-order manufacturing environments
  • Six Sigma Belt (Yellow, Green or Black) and/or Lean Expert Certification
