Job Description:

Responsible for planning, controlling and managing activities related to inventory control, shipping/receiving, storing and traffic analysis of materials or finished goods for sales warehouses, distribution centers, and factory mixing points to meet sales and distribution demand. Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures. Analyzes inventory levels, inventory positioning, planned production and sales forecasts. Oversees the liquidation and transfer of stock to reflect cost, age, and demand. Initiates immediate actions in out-of-stock situations. Ensures materials are received from proper vendors, delivered to inventory and finished goods, packaged according to specifications and shipped in a timely manner. Ensures materials are available to meet production schedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedules. Responsible for coordination and consolidation of domestic and international systems to support shipments. May complete analysis on company/customer needs, transportation methods, and audit carrier costs and performance to select most efficient transportation options. Interprets laws, rules and regulations regarding shipping and prepares applications for import/export control certifications and licenses.

 

Essential Functions:

  • In charge of document control; track and scan all paperwork that is associated with a part such as: when the part was received into BSI, if it went to stock, issued off, put on loan account, shipped out, etc.
  • Change locations in BSI
  • Process all GFE requests in ILS-S and BSI
  • Process GFE Receipts and scan them into Docuware
  • Hand Receipt Coordinator; issue and track parts to ensure they are returned on time
  • Report Excess when required
  • Work the D18 reports weekly and update the date the part is to arrive in the warehouse
  • Scan incoming/outgoing signed copies of SF153s into Docuware
  • Scan MSDS documents into Docuware
  • File Authorization Reports and Weekly Status reports
  • Backup for TO Library and RPC Center
  • Works SDR’s for GFE

Qualifications:

  • Requires broad theoretical job knowledge. Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • This position will be required to be on call at least one week each month. 
  • Secret Level clearance is required.

 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience in BSI, SAP, Docuware & ILS-S are a plus. 
  • Entry-level professional with broad theoretical job knowledge. Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks. Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information. Contributes to systems and processes changes in work routines. Works to achieve operational targets that impact team results.
  • Works independently under regular direction and guidance on non-routine tasks requiring judgement and initiative. Standard processes are provided and peer review may be required. Less guidance and direction provided as proficiency increases. May provide guidance and assistance to support level employees.
  • Communicates with contacts typically within own team on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring some explanation or interpretation in order to understand and reach agreement.
  • Work consists of less-routine tasks in contribution to changes in systems and processes to solve problems. May be required to apply discretion within identified boundaries and procedures. Responsible for making minor changes in processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of approaches and routines being utilized. Expected to propose solutions to problems for others review.
  • Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Work is of limited scope, typically on smaller, less complex projects or task-related activities.
