Job Description:

Responsible for planning, controlling and managing activities related to inventory control, shipping/receiving, storing and traffic analysis of materials or finished goods for sales warehouses, distribution centers, and factory mixing points to meet sales and distribution demand. Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures. Analyzes inventory levels, inventory positioning, planned production and sales forecasts. Oversees the liquidation and transfer of stock to reflect cost, age, and demand. Initiates immediate actions in out-of-stock situations. Ensures materials are received from proper vendors, delivered to inventory and finished goods, packaged according to specifications and shipped in a timely manner. Ensures materials are available to meet production schedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedules. Responsible for coordination and consolidation of domestic and international systems to support shipments. May complete analysis on company/customer needs, transportation methods, and audit carrier costs and performance to select most efficient transportation options. Interprets laws, rules and regulations regarding shipping and prepares applications for import/export control certifications and licenses.

 

This will be 1st shift in FX Whse 210 as FX Whse MRP position.  This role is responsible for all in-house repairs, purchases and shortages for our FX Sustainment contract. & some E18 contracts.  Duties include creating Planning Workflows, hanging demands in SAP, creating work orders in SAP, working shortage reports via MCS tab, working closely with PM office, working with Contracts to get networks & WBS’s created and working weekly customer required reports and will provide data & attend a Monthly Logistics meeting with Customer & PM Office.    

 

Essential Functions:

  • This position works closely with the PMO and several different shop areas within L3Harris.
  • BSI, SAP, Excel & Planning Workflow are the systems used for this position
  • SECRET Clearance is required.

Qualifications:

  • Requires broad theoretical job knowledge. Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • This position will be required to be on call at least one week each month. 
  • Secret Level clearance is required.

 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience in BSI, SAP, Planning Workflow are a plus. 
  • Entry-level professional with broad theoretical job knowledge. Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks. Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information. Contributes to systems and processes changes in work routines. Works to achieve operational targets that impact team results.
  • Works independently under regular direction and guidance on non-routine tasks requiring judgement and initiative. Standard processes are provided and peer review may be required.   • Work consists of less-routine tasks in contribution to changes in systems and processes to solve problems. May be required to apply discretion within identified boundaries and procedures. Responsible for making minor changes in processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of approaches and routines being utilized. Expected to propose solutions to problems for others review.
