Job Description:
- As a L3H Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) is part of a team which establishes, supports, and coordinates tasks related to Cybersecurity and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) to obtain and maintain Authorizations to Operate (ATOs) for delivered systems.
- This position is part of a larger customer Information Assurance team, coordinating L3Harris efforts supporting the Information Owner, and assisting the ISSM, to implement actions needed to document current/future baselines and new capabilities in the NIST/RMF-approved process.
- Participate in risk and vulnerability assessments (as required) of information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs, coordinate L3H efforts to develop Security Impact Assessments (SIAs) of proposed system modifications for submittal to the ISSM.
- This position combines an understanding of both software engineering, hardware engineering, and program management.
- Prepare and present technical results for internal and external program meetings
- Develop, track and present technical metrics
- Understanding of hardware level interdependencies for Infrastructure, Network, & Mission Processor requirements between multiple devices as well as understanding how software works in conjunction with hardware interdependencies.
- Manage requirements in either DOORS or JIRA through all phases of the project.
- Reading and interpreting block diagrams, wire diagrams, mechanical drawings and circuit schematics to isolate component malfunctions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and Computer Science or Cybersecurity/lnformation Technology, or four (4) years of hands-on experience with Cybersecurity/lnformation Technology or related field
Preferred Skills:
- Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration and/or project management, and/or model-based systems engineering
- Candidate should understand basic networking and familiarity with NIST publications
- Must have functional working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
- Desired Technical skills include experience or proficiency with Linux administration, Bash scripting, Windows PowerShell, Windows administration, Nessus, Wireshark, Nma
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is [$70,500.00 MIN - $129,500.00 MAX]. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is [$61,000.00 MIN - $113,000.00 MAX]. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
