Job Descritpion:
We are seeking a highly motivated Personnel Security Associate to support our security program and ensure compliance with all federal, DoD, and company-specific security requirements. The ideal candidate will manage clearance processing, maintain personnel security records, and provide guidance to employees and leadership on security procedures, eligibility requirements, and compliance standards. Conduct random inspections of personal holdings entering/exiting secure spaces. Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by appropriate management/lead personnel.
Essential Functions:
- Process and manage personnel security clearances through government systems (e.g., DISS, e-QIP, NBIS).
- Review and submit background investigation packets for accuracy and completeness.
- Track investigation statuses, reinvestigation deadlines, and clearance expirations.
- Maintain secure personnel files and ensure compliance with NISPOM and company policies.
- Conduct briefings, debriefings, and assist with security indoctrinations.
- Support visit authorization requests (VARs) and verify clearance levels as needed.
- Provide guidance to staff regarding clearance requirements, eligibility, and adjudication timelines.
- Collaborate with the FSO and leadership to ensure ongoing compliance and readiness for inspections.
- Implement DD-254 Security Guidance and ensure program compliance with contractual requirements.
- Back up Visitor Control.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- Requires an active Secret Clearnace with ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI.
- Requires broad theoretical job knowledge.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong computer skills and basic knowledge of computer programs to include Microsoft office suite and data entry software.
- Prior experience with NISPOM, 32 CFR part 117.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
