About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Director to to lead aquisition across various high-profile and critical Australian Defence programs. Working closely with technical engineering teams and support functions, you will be responsible for the on-time, on-cost and on-quality performance of all acquisition projects, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives.  

Your activities will focus on driving the acquisition and execution of programs. Responsibilities may include but not be limited to: managing bids & proposals and identifying continuous improvement opportunities for future investigation and implementation. Lead and manage the current National In-Service Support portfolio, meeting customers technical and scheduling needs whiles also achieving financial performance targets. Providing monthy and quartlery reports, and providing a professional relationship with all stakeholders.

About you

To be successful in this role, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include;

• Project Management experience, leading multiple project teams

• Knowledge/experience in the Defence industry 

• EVM understanding and demonstrated application

• Experience in managing/delivering scope across the full systems engineering lifecycle; both acquisition and support

• Practised reporting capability specifically with financials, schedule, and resourcing

• Supplier/sub-contractor relationship management experience
