About the role

Working in close collaboration with PMO Stakeholders, the Procurement Officer will execute L3Harris purchasing processes, in a timely and compliant manner, ultimately contributing to our organisational growth and enhancing our technical capabilities.

The primary remit of this role is to enable the procurement of materials and services necessary for L3Harris to deliver program requirements on time and within budget

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for Procurement of materials and services in support of L3Harris Integrated Mission Systems Australia (L3Harris IMSA) projects and offices
  • Exercise purchasing delegations in accordance with the company Approval Matrix
  • Provide input for corporate Supply Chain reporting
  • Obtain and review quotations and proposals and provide recommendations for procurement
  • Conduct supplier negotiations as required to obtain improved service and/or pricing – record savings in Buyer Savings Tool
  • Review supplier terms and conditions and seek approval for acceptance when required
  • Expedite overdue purchase orders

 

About you

To be successful in this role and to best leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include;

  • At least 3 years experience, desirable
  • Defence industry experience, desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in development of supplier relationships, supporting customer requirements and meeting time critical deadlines
  • High level of computer literacy and ability to compile reports
  • Experience with and understanding of Export Controls (especially the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)) desirable
  • Ability to hold and maintain an Australian Defence Clearance
