Job Description:
This position will be responsible for providing Electrical Engineering production support to customer-funded programs within our Spectral Solutions business area within the Space and Airborne segment of L3Harris Corporation. This role will include leading a technical team through troubleshooting efforts and organizing technical support schedules. Individuals will need technical expertise to troubleshoot complex circuits and provide clear technical guidance to production teams.
Our Spectral Solutions business area serves a broad array of government, civil and commercial customers by enhancing information superiority, contributing to our national security and providing actionable data for the protection of property and human life. We specialize in high-reliability space-based remote sensing end-to-end systems that offer active and motion imaging and data processing, exploitation and dissemination. We also provide solutions that map and monitor the earth for a variety of commercial and governmental users.
Essential Functions:
• Design, test, and troubleshooting of power, digital, and analog circuits/components.
• Technically lead troubleshooting efforts across a multi-disciplinary team
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve.
• Produce technical documentation, including review materials for customers, performance requirements, test plans, and analysis reports.
• Provide on call support to test efforts
• Experience with commonly used test equipment including but not limited to Oscilloscopes and DMMs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience of production support ensuring timely resolution of troubleshooting efforts
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Hold a current security Clearance or the ability to obtain a security clearance
• Schematic entry, simulation, and analysis of power and analog circuits.
• Guide PCB layout for power and analog circuits.
• Perform worst-case analysis on power and analog circuits.
• Write performance specifications.
• Participate and contribute in technical reviews.
• Experience with SPICE, MathCAD, Matlab, Simulink, Allegro and MentorGraphics tools
• Experience performing Worst Case analysis
• Experience leading teams and project designs
• Problem-solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges.
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to read schematics and understand the function
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong Root Cause Corrective Action Skills.
