Job Description:
This position will be responsible for providing Electrical Engineering module level development and support to customer-funded programs within our Spectral Solutions business area within the Space and Airborne segment of L3Harris Corporation. This role will own the technical definition of electronic sub-systems. The candidate will work with programs and the multi-disciplinary design team to maintain the integrity of the electrical system to specifications.
Our Spectral Solutions business area serves a broad array of government, civil and commercial customers by enhancing information superiority, contributing to our national security and providing actionable data for the protection of property and human life. We specialize in high-reliability space-based remote sensing end-to-end systems that offer active and motion imaging and data processing, exploitation and dissemination. We also provide solutions that map and monitor the earth for a variety of commercial and governmental users.
Essential Functions:
• Design electrical systems and subsystems from customers or internal specifications
• Create and maintain electrical architecture working with cross discipline teams
• Manage the electrical architecture across multiple Circuit Card Assemblies and multiple electronics modules
• Experience with deriving specifications and creating requirement flow down
• Experience with DOORs, SPICE, MathCAD, Matlab, Simulink, Allegro and MentorGraphics tools
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
• 4-5 years of experience in product ownership and ensuring electrical subsystems meet specifications of requirements.
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Hold a current security Clearance or the ability to obtain a security clearance
• Schematic entry, simulation, and analysis of power and analog circuits.
• Guide PCB layout for power and analog circuits.
• Perform worst-case analysis on power and analog circuits.
• Participate and contribute in technical reviews.
• Experience performing Worst Case analysis
• Experience leading teams and project designs
• Problem-solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges.
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with commonly used test equipment including but not limited to Oscilloscopes and DMMs.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to read specifications and requirements
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong ability to make technically sound architecture decisions to guide development
