About your next Challenge as a ILS/LSA Engineering Specialist:

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team and play a significant role in the growth of the LSA Engineering department. Facilitating LSA analyses and solutions on many DND Aerospace platforms, as well as maritime projects. You will monitor, record, analyze and provide recommendations for all systems across a multitude of different platforms. You will facilitate coordination & cooperation across other disciplines including Systems Engineering, Material Management, Airworthiness, Programs and operations.

 

What will you do:

 

With the support of the Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) Team Manager:

  •  Perform LSA activities on either acquisition or In-Service Support (ISS) programs;
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, development, and stakeholder groups.
  • Conduct thorough Reliability, Availability and Maintainability, (RAM) analyses to ensure system performance and longevity;
  • Interface with System Engineering and Material Management to provide reliability, maintainability, and logistics input to facilitate design and system supportability;
  • Collect and analyse logistics and engineering data to perform sparing, reliability analysis, maintenance tasks analyses, obsolescence mitigation, develop presentations and reports for the customer;
  • Assist in the preparation of Bids and Proposals;
  • Carry out Sundown analyses on various programs;
  • Contribute to ILS team process improvements and achievement of departmental goals;
  • Promote team work, diversity and respect of L3 Core values;

 

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Bachelor's level degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent;
  •  4+ years’ experience within Defence, Aerospace or Maritime engineering or related work experience, former military aerospace experience an asset;
  •  Familiarity or working knowledge with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RAM), Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR), Life Cycle Cost (LCC) Analysis, Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) (French and English), English proficiency required. 
  • Experience with working on Aerospace programs with Department of National Defence (DND) an asset
  • Must be an analytical thinker with careful consideration for details;
  •  MS Office proficiency, familiarity with XML an asset;

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

·         Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;

·         Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.

·         Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
