Job Description:

The Sr. Associate, Systems Administrator is responsible for operations and maintenance of a Windows-based active directory network.  Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting Windows servers, configuring workstations, and managing software applications while providing end-user support in secure program areas. This person will work closely with security personnel as well as local and remote team members/end-users.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Administer and support the daily operations of Windows-based servers and workstations.
  • Provide end-user support by assisting users and troubleshooting issues.
  • Coordinate with IT Security as needed to identify, document, and resolve system vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand program requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical issues and strategies to management and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 35 pounds across campus for various needs. 

  • Current/Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with ability to obtain Poly

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • 2 years of experience as a Systems Administrator managing an enterprise level domain.
  • Current/Active TS/SCI Security Clearance 

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • General knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking protocols, PowerShell, and security best practices.
  • CompTIA Security +, CISSP or any DoD 8570 IAT level I or higher approved certification.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory (AD).
  • Understanding of Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with VMware or similar virtualization software.
  • Experience with Commvault or similar storage/backup solutions.                         

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State is $59,500-$110,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
