Job Description:
The Specialist, Systems Engineer is a developing professional with working knowledge of systems engineering principles, processes, and tools who supports technical planning, requirements analysis, system integration, verification and validation, risk assessment, and deployment activities. Works under moderate supervision to perform standard systems engineering assignments, applying established practices and procedures to support developmental and operational systems. Communicates with internal and external team contacts to coordinate tasks, exchange technical information, and help resolve routine to moderately complex issues within the assigned job area.
Essential Functions:
- Support execution of technical plans for products and total systems, with responsibility for assigned systems engineering tasks and deliverables.
- Perform requirements analysis, decomposition, traceability, and allocation to support system development and integration activities.
- Support system integration, verification, validation, and deployment activities across the system lifecycle.
- Coordinate with software, test, and engineering teams to help deliver system capabilities in accordance with technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Participate in system design, test planning, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities for developmental and operational systems.
- Maintain engineering artifacts, interface documentation, technical baselines, and status tracking information for assigned efforts.
- Contribute to technical reviews, design discussions, and systems engineering process execution.
- Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams while continuing to build domain knowledge, systems engineering proficiency, and understanding of customer mission needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Must have an Active TS Clearance and be Eligible to obtain a TS/SCI.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Working knowledge of Atlassian tools, including JIRA and Confluence.
- Familiarity with MBSE and digital engineering tools.
- Understanding of systems engineering principles, processes, and lifecycle activities.
- Experience supporting requirements development, system integration, test, and verification activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams including software, test, and systems engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical work and communicate status effectively.
- Ability to manage assigned tasks with moderate oversight and support multiple priorities in a team environment.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state is $80,500-$149,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
