Job Description:
L3 Harris Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Logistics Support Engineer to join our team in supporting Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities on the Ground-Based Electro-Optical Deep Space Surveillance (GEODSS) program, under the Maintenance of Space Situational Awareness Integrated Capabilities (MOSSAIC) contract.
Essential Functions:
The Logistics Specialist duties include but are not limited to:
- Exercise logistics support utilizing standard practices, processes, and utilizing logistics databases.
- Record logistics management information utilizing integrated logistics support software systems.
- Provide analysis using logistics tools and metrics.
- Provides supply support through material research, ordering, warranty tracking, packaging, handling, storing, and transporting.
- Assist with management of repair cycle process for on-equipment, off-equipment, and associated spares for fielded systems. Responsibilities include:
- Receive, track, document, status, and store parts in all phases of the repair cycle
- Provide input for technical orders/drawings and schedule resources for technical order/drawing development.
- Assist with equipment maintenance during system downtime periods.
Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain TOP SECRET security clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to travel world-wide up to 15% of year.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active TOP SECRET security clearance
- Operations, Maintenance, or Logistics experience with fixed site or deployable space operations systems.
- Experience/familiarity with MOSSAIC program mission area (as an operator/maintainer or as a contractor).
- Experience developing and maintaining Logistics Management Information using MIL-PRF-49506 as guidance.
- Experience developing and presenting logistics product technical documentation and training material. Outstanding communication (written and verbal) skills and be capable of developing and presenting reports and presentations to the project teams, weapon system management and customer personnel in a clear, articulate, and concise manner.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, Power Point, and Word.
- Working knowledge in acquisition life cycle processes and product development.
- Familiar with DoD and commercial logistics tools and databases: FedLog, WebFLIS, D043, GOLD as well as various LMI Programs. Extensive knowledge of LMI/LSA data products.
- Understand drawing and specification hierarchy and development.
- Familiar with ASME-Y14.100 and all equivalent guidance pertaining to engineering drawings.
- Working knowledge of technical order development, content, and change activities.
- Familiar with ITAR policies and procedures.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $66,000 - $123,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $57,000 - $106,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
