Job Description:

L3Harris Space Superiority group has an opening for an Integration & Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.  The individual will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and a collaborative team setting.

 

This position will support the test effort for development of multiple ground-based mission systems and operations center from program inception to test verification and deployment. The Integration & Test Engineer will define complex test strategies to verify mission capabilities while working with a team comprised of multiple internal organizations and subcontractors for the full integration and test of the mission system. The test engineer will be a point-of-contact for the government customer for test planning and will coordinate across government and stakeholder offices to define the test and evaluation plan.

 

 Essential Functions: 

  • Troubleshoot Test Failures: Diagnose and resolve test failures based on inputs from the SEIT lead and test architect, ensuring timely and accurate identification of issues.
  • Test Configuration and Procedure Development: Complete detailed test configurations, develop test procedures, implement and check out STE (Special Test Equipment), test sets, and test set software. Evaluate and utilize analysis tools effectively.
  • Support Test Activities: Assist in directing test activities, including shift planning and coordination, to ensure smooth and efficient test operations.
  • Ensure Team Consistency: Promote consistency within the team by adhering to automation testing development principles. Foster a culture of automation, configuration management, and automated testing.
  • Risk and Opportunity Identification: Identify risks and opportunities related to specific test activities, proactively addressing potential issues and leveraging opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with System Engineering and Design: Work closely with system engineering and design teams to influence architecture and interfaces, optimizing and integrating test capabilities early in the development lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with DevSecOps Teams: Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to implement automation capabilities, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Analyze User Stories and Requirements: Evaluate user stories, use cases, and requirements for validity and feasibility, ensuring they meet the necessary criteria for testing.
  • Define STE/GSE Requirements: Work with systems and design engineering to identify and define STE/GSE (Ground Support Equipment) requirements that satisfy testing needs, considering reuse options where applicable.
  • Evaluate STE Requirements: Assess and define the hardware and software requirements for STE needed to verify system-level requirements, ensuring comprehensive and effective testing.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Security+
  • Active Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance.

  • JIRA/Confluence Proficiency: Proficient in using JIRA and Confluence (or equivalent tools) for project management and collaboration.
  • Agile and DevOps Experience: Experienced in Agile and DevOps methodologies and culture, promoting efficient and iterative development processes.
  • Software Testing Skills: Skilled in testing JAVA and C++ applications, ensuring robust and reliable software performance.
  • Test Automation Tools: Proficient in using test automation tools such as Cucumber and Playwright.
  • Linux Proficiency: Demonstrates proficiency in working with the Linux operating system.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Familiar with tools like No Magic and Cameo for MBSE.
  • Automation Expertise: Experienced in implementing and managing automation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado Springs, CO is $75,500 - $140,000 for Chantilly VA is  $87,000 - $161,000.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
