Job Description:  

The Narya Program is seeking highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and software systems with experience in space mission engineering using Agile methodologies. This role involves leading a team, requirements decomposition and the use of Cameo Systems Modeler to support the development and execution of cutting-edge space missions.

Essential Functions: 

We are seeking an experienced software systems engineer to join our C2 development team. This role will be responsible for leading an interdisciplinary team, designing, implementing, maintaining, and sustaining space mission engineering, including mission design, analysis, and operations. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams utilizing systems modeling in tools like Cameo, microservice architecture and its application in software systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure cloud solutions. Support technically through the product/program full life cycle including advanced R&D, capture, proposals, design, integration & test, verification, and sustainment utilizing MBSE.

  • Lead a team interdisciplinary team as a Product Owner, CAM, IPTL in space mission engineering, including mission design, analysis, and operations.
  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to develop and manage system models using Cameo Systems Modeler.
  • Design and implement software systems and microservice architectures to support space mission engineering.
  • Decompose high-level requirements into detailed, actionable specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of system components.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct system-level analyses and trade studies to support design decisions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system architecture diagrams, interface control documents, and test plans.
  • Support the verification and validation of system requirements through rigorous testing and analysis.

 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
  • Requires an active TS/SCI security clearance
  • 4+ years experience decomposing complex requirements into detailed specifications
  • Professional experience working in Cameo Systems Modeler or similar MBSE tools
  • Professional experience developing microservice architecture and its application in software systems
  • Prior or current professional experience working as a Product Owner, CAM, or IPTL

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with other MBSE tools and frameworks
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience in space mission engineering, including mission design, analysis, and operations
  • Knowledge of space systems and subsystems, including spacecraft design and operations
  • Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner)
  • MBSE Certification like but limited to OMG Level 1 Certification
  • Experience with systems engineering standards and best practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is [$104,500.00 - $193,500.00]. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is [$90,500.00 - $168,500.00]. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
