Job Description:

 

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to support the administration, automation, and sustainment of enterprise Linux-based infrastructure and platform environments. This role is intended for a mid-to-senior level professional who can work with limited oversight, support complex system environments, and contribute to modernization efforts across virtualized and containerized platforms.

 

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, automation, container orchestration, cybersecurity compliance, and Agile execution in a SAFe environment. This individual will play a key role in maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations.

 

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Experience administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems in a production enterprise environment, including system configuration, patching, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
  • Hands-on experience supporting virtualized infrastructure using VMware and/or container platform environments using OpenShift, including deployment, configuration, and ongoing system sustainment.
  • Experience using Ansible for automation of system administration tasks, configuration management, application deployment, patching, and repeatable infrastructure support activities.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and experience supporting containerized applications, cluster operations, workload deployments, and platform troubleshooting.
  • Experience operating within a SAFe Agile framework, including participation in team ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery of work in an iterative development environment.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Clearance: Top Secret SCI preferred. SCI eligible at minimum.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 Required Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, or higher certification

 

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification demonstrating foundational expertise in Red Hat system administration and enterprise Linux support.
  • Experience using Red Hat Satellite for system provisioning, patch management, software lifecycle management, content management, and host administration across enterprise environments.
  • CKA certification or equivalent demonstrated experience supporting Kubernetes-based environments and container orchestration best practices.
  • Experience using Splunk for log aggregation, system monitoring, operational visibility, troubleshooting, and identification of system or security-related events.
  • Familiarity with JIRA for work tracking, GitHub for version control and collaboration, and Jenkins for supporting automation and CI/CD pipeline activities.
  • Experience writing or modifying Python scripts to support automation, administration, reporting, integration, or operational efficiency improvements.
  • Scrum Master certification or practical Agile team facilitation experience that supports collaboration, process improvement, and effective execution within Agile teams.

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state is $92,500-$171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
