Job Description:  

L3Harris Technologies Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician level A to join our team in providing RF SATCOM testing to support the portfolio of systems within the Combat Mission Systems Support (CMSS) contract.  This is an entry level position opportunity for an individual to expand their technical background to learn the skillsets required to test RF/SATCOM equipment.  

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Responsible for the test and evaluation of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment and components which are a part of the systems sustained by L3Harris for designated customers.
  • Utilize electronic test and measurement equipment to support general laboratory operations.
  • Assemble, configure, test, operate, and repair hardware in accordance with documentation provided.
  • Collect test data for review and analysis. Document equipment failures through designated reporting tools.
  • Assist in the performance of electrical, mechanical, and RF troubleshooting. 
  • Provide limited documentation support, such as minor edits to existing procedures and/or technical drawings. May assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify processes.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe work area.  Follow all safety guidelines, and report unsafe conditions to the manager.
  • Support facility operations through the completion of assigned tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications: 

  • Ability to obtain a TOP SECRET / SCI security clearance.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active security clearance.
  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word).
  • Must be able to read and understand all applicable work instructions and procedures and perform computer related tasks without assistance.
  • Possess a high level of initiative and willingness to learn.
  • Professional attitude and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Daily schedule and task flexibility with minimal notice.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Basic networking experience.
  • Experience with working in an ESD safe environment.
  • Familiar with standard electronic test and measurement equipment operations

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $37,000 - $68,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
