Job Description:
Responsible for inspecting, testing, and auditing purchased parts, materials, equipment, and assemblies to ensure they meet specifications. Review drawings, diagrams, and specifications to approve or reject units, setups, or systems during in‑process and final builds. Maintain documentation, inspect incoming materials and assemblies, and verify outbound shipments. Review performance data, ensure products meet standards, and assist in determining inspection methods. Interface with customer quality representatives and suppliers.
Essential Functions:
• Perform receiving, in‑process, final, and shipment inspections
• Inspect, test, and audit purchased parts, materials, and assemblies
• Review drawings, diagrams, schematics, and specifications to accept or reject units
• Maintain all inspection documentation and records of non‑conforming product
• Report performance data and verify compliance with company standards
• Determine appropriate inspection methods and procedures
• Conduct receiving transactions in RIDs and the MOSSAIC Quality Database, including cert review and inspection reports
• Analyze measurement results and deliver detailed reports to engineering and manufacturing
• Partner with program teams to ensure quality standards are met
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD data, and specifications to define inspection requirements
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement in quality processes
• Ability to obtain US Government security clearance
Qualifications:
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; Or, 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, work instructions, procedures and schematics
• Hands on experience with inspection methodologies and measuring devices
• Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-WHMA-A-620, and J-STD-001 specifications
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Certifications in IPC-610, 620, J-STD and GD&T
• Strong computer skills - Proficient use of MS Office Suite
• Working knowledge and understanding of ESD and 5S+1 functionalities
• Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to interface across the organization to achieve effective results
• Experience in Electronics manufacturing and mechanical assemblies
• Experience working in a team environment to solve problems and balance workload
• Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA)
• Working knowledge and understanding of AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift 15 pounds as needed
• Ability in working overtime if needed
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey state is $45,000-$84,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
