Job Description:
L3Harris is currently searching for a SSpec, Network Plan Engrg/Windows System Administrator for our Colorado Spring, CO site. The Network Planning Engineer requires an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility. They will have a strong background in the management and maintenance in Microsoft Windows Operating System on workstations and servers; The Network Planning Engineer will be responsible for the collaboration of planning and engineering of the Operation Centers’ workstation and server environment infrastructure. Monitor the performance of systems and be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of managing workstations, servers and virtual environments. Ability to perform tasks under minimal supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Will report to the engineering site lead and operations manager. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and a minimum of 2 years of hands on work experience.
Essential Functions:

- Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and related hardware/software across the enterprise
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for Windows workstations, including OS, application, and hardware issues
- Manage Windows and Linux servers across production, staging, and training environments: OS/image deployment, configuration, patching, backups/restores, and capacity optimization.
- Execute IAVA/STIG compliance activities: run scans (ACAS/SCAP), apply STIG/IAVM remediations, validate fixes, and track compliance timelines for CCRI/CVE requirements.
- Deploy enterprise applications and OS patches; coordinate testing, integration, and rollback procedures to preserve availability.
- Monitor system health and performance, investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate escalations and post‑deployment support.
- Maintain platform SOPs, baseline configurations, runbooks, and change records to support configuration management and audit readiness.
- Produce operational reports, compliance dashboards, and evidence packages for RMF/ATO and inspection activities.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity, NOC/NOSC, application owners, and vendors to remediate vulnerabilities and validate mitigations.
- Support lifecycle activities: upgrades, capacity planning, licensing, and continuous improvement of system hardening and resilience.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies via Active Directory
- Deploy and manage devices using endpoint management solutions
- Oversee system updates, BIOS/driver updates, and security patches
- Automate routine tasks and deployments using PowerShell and other scripting tools
- Provide technical support to end-users, resolve tickets, and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and hardware lifecycle management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 3 years of prior networking troubleshooting experience.
- Must have a Top Secret clearance with eligibility to SCISec+ required
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Windows System Administrator
