Job Description:

 

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Lead Logistics Engineer to provide comprehensive Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) across the Ground-based Electro-Optical Deep Space Surveillance System (GEODSS) program under the Maintenance Space Situational Awareness Integrated Capabilities (MOSSAIC) contract. The selected candidate will serve as the logistics lead responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing sustainment and lifecycle support activities across multiple system elements.

 

Essential Functions:

 

The Lead, Logistics Engineer duties include but are not limited to:

 

Leadership & Management:
• Lead all logistics engineering activities, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery of contract requirements
• Manage tasking and performance of a multi-disciplinary logistics team; provide mentorship, training, and technical oversight
• Develop and maintain program logistics schedules aligned with contract milestones and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) activities
• Lead presentation in program and Customer meeting representing logistics engineering activities
Lifecycle Logistics Execution:
• Direct full-spectrum Lifecycle Logistics and sustainment activities supporting Agile hardware/software development environments
• Develop, update, and maintain logistics processes, procedures, and standard work to ensure compliance with program and corporate policies
• Lead development of Life Cycle Product Support metrics to assess sustainment performance and readiness
Supply Support & Data Management:
• Manage the development and maintenance of Logistics Product Data (LPD) and Logistics Management Information (LMI) within ILS databases
• Lead provisioning and sparing analysis using logistics modeling tools and quantitative sustainment metrics
• Develop and maintain Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP) and Support Equipment Requirements Documents (SERDs)
• Oversee calibration requirements and tracking for support/test equipment
Maintenance & Sustainment Engineering:
• Lead efforts supporting technical order development, engineering drawings, and Bill of Material (BOM) validation
• Manage repair-cycle logistics for on-equipment, off-equipment, and spares; oversee material receipt, storage, tracking, and documentation through all repair phases
• Conduct failure data and OEM notice analysis to recommend sparing, repair, and corrective action strategies
• Support Remanence Security (REMSEC) assessments and compliance
Obsolescence & Configuration Management:
• Lead Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) analysis for all system components
• Track End-of-Life (EOL) and End-of-Support (EOS) data and maintain configuration control through the Supply Supportability Analysis Report (SSAR)
• Support COTS hardware/software refresh planning, upgrades, and sustainment agreements
Contract Deliverables & Reporting:
• Develop, review, and deliver logistics analysis reports and CDRLs/ADRLs in accordance with PWS requirements
• Provide comprehensive supply support including material research, procurement, packaging, handling, storage, transportation, and warranty tracking

 

Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
• Prior experience in leading or managing contractor logistics support for complex DoD systems in development or sustainment
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS/OCONUS)

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

• Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance
• Strong communication skills, capable of producing and presenting technical documentation, reports, and briefings to internal teams, customers, and program leadership
• Expertise in DMSMS management, lifecycle cost modeling, and sustainment planning
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and logistics data management tools
• Understanding of acquisition lifecycle processes, product development, and sustainment planning under DoD 5000-series frameworks
• Familiarity with engineering drawing standards (ASME Y14.100), technical order development, and configuration control practices
• Working knowledge of Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RMA) analysis methodologies
• Experience applying ITAR/EAR compliance, export control policies, and maintenance contract management for warranty repairs
• Background in electronics systems maintenance and support equipment operations preferred

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state is $79,000-$146,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
