Job Description:
Work under general direction and guidance within standard processes to manage security processes essential for classified facility operations primarily focused on document control including identification, marking, accounting, shipping or movement, and destruction of classified material IAW 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and DoDM 5200.01. Assists in developing Security Education, Training and Awareness briefing materials; track completion data and maintain training records of employees. Maintains records and archiving security relevant information. Manages multiple tasks and coordinate activities within deadlines.
Essential Functions:
- Transmission and preparation of classified material to include package preparation, authoring transportation plans, providing courier guidance and training to internal employees, and maintaining inventory/control of classified material in storage.
- COMSEC Responsible Officer: Maintain NSA COMSEC account; perform custodian duties.
- Research and implement National and Department of Defense security regulations, maintaining knowledge, and awareness of interdisciplinary compliance requirements.
- Ability to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures with contacts inside and outside own team.
- Recognize and report security violations and prepare reports. Able to specify prevention actions to be taken.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Active Secret US Security Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Security Information Management System (SIMS)
- Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
- Initiative in pursuing problems, opportunities, and innovative solutions while maintaining security compliance.
- Ability to implement compliance programs.
- Experience and practical knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and applicable DoD Directives.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Solid time management skills to achieve operational targets and contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects.
- Experience with Intrusion Detection and Access Control Systems, able to respond and assess alarms during off-duty hours.
- Exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal, customer relationship building skills, and analytical skills.
- Intermediate professional with practical knowledge of implementing industrial security requirements within own job area.
- Practical knowledge of job area including 32 CFR 117, DoD 5200, and any relevant regulations.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state is $56,500 - $105,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
