Job Description:


L3Harris is seeking a Systems Integration & Test Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead with comprehensive knowledge in Electronic Warfare systems and a solid understanding of project management. This role is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team in the integration and test of system hardware, software, and supporting facilities, ensuring electrical and physical compatibility while meeting program technical, schedule, and cost objectives.

The IPT Lead will support system design and development efforts from early design through integration, test, installation, and customer acceptance. This individual will work closely with Program Management, Chief Systems Engineering, and customers to plan and execute system-level integration, verification, and test activities.



Essential Functions:



  • Lead integration and test efforts for complex Electronic Warfare systems across the full program lifecycle.
  • Manage cross-functional teams with minimal oversight to achieve program technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Develop and maintain system-level integration and test strategies, plans, and top-level test flows.
  • Coordinate with Systems Engineering to develop verification approaches and requirements verification matrices.
  • Ensure physical and electrical compatibility of system components and interfaces.
  • Support development of test procedures, test configurations, and special test equipment/software needed for verification.
  • Lead or support test readiness reviews, test working groups, anomaly investigations, and program status reviews.
  • Troubleshoot test failures and drive resolution in collaboration with systems, design, and test teams.
  • Identify and manage integration and test risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans.
  • Work with design and systems teams to incorporate testability early in the development lifecycle.
  • Interface directly with program management, Chief Systems Engineering, customers, and subject matter experts regarding integration and verification planning.
  • Ensure compliance with L3Harris policies, processes, and quality standards.
  • Must be able to obtain a US security clearance as a job requirement

 


Responsibilities


  • Serve as the primary lead for top-level integration and test planning and execution.
  • Develop the System Integration & Test Plan for the program.
  • Support planning and execution of test events, including test readiness activities and follow-up actions.
  • Define or support definition of Special Test Equipment (STE) / Ground Support Equipment (GSE) requirements needed for system verification.
  • Oversee implementation and checkout of test equipment, software, and analysis tools.
  • Support test execution planning, including coordination of personnel and shift coverage as needed.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring across the team.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

 

 

Preferred Additional Skills:



  • Direct experience serving as an IPT Lead for integration, test, or development programs.
  • Experience supporting flight test, environmental qualification, and customer verification activities.
  • Familiarity with discrepancy reporting, root cause investigation, and corrective action processes.
  • Experience supporting both development and production environments.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering, requirements management, and configuration management tools.
  • Experience presenting technical status, risks, and issue resolution plans to customers and senior leadership.
  • Experience managing subcontractor technical performance and coordination.
  • Experience with risk management and cost account management.
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Boundary Scan, or similar test automation and instrument control tools.
  • Familiarity with military environmental and electromagnetic qualification standards, including MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and ESD control best practices.
  • Familiarity with RF and high-speed digital test equipment, including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
    • 5+ years of experience in Electronic Warfare (EW), avionics, aerospace and defense systems, or related mission systems.
    • 5+ years of experience in system integration, verification, and test across multiple phases of the system lifecycle.
    • 3+ years of experience leading or coordinating cross-functional technical efforts.
    • 3+ years of experience in electronic hardware troubleshooting, manufacturing support, and root cause analysis.
    • 4+ years of experience in radio frequency (RF) and/or digital engineering, including experience with any of the following:
      • Microcircuit Assembly (MCA)
      • Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)
      • Circuit Card Assembly (CCA)
      • Printed Wiring Board (PWB)
    • 2+ years of experience supporting verification or qualification to military and/or civil standards such as:
      • Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment (DO-160)
      • Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification (DO-178C)
      • or similar standards
    • 3+ years of experience supporting DoD or U.S. Government customers.
    • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively through technical documentation, status reporting, and cross-functional coordination.
    • Active US DoD SECRET security clearance
      • If none, must be able to attain clearance

     

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is [$106,500 - $197,500]. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
