Job Description:

The Electronic Warfare Division is seeking a Specialist, Program Finance in Clifton, NJ to support the Electronic Defense Solutions business area. This position will play a key role in keeping our programs on track using a variety of performance management techniques including extensive use of Earned Value Management (EVM) to ensure accurate and complete financial information is available to our internal and external customers. We are seeking a proactive, self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate with key functional stakeholders including Program Management, Engineering among other cross-functional stakeholders. Ideal candidate must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and be capable of multi-tasking. Successful candidates will demonstrate an aptitude for efficiency, problem-solving, and resourcefulness, with a commitment to quality while developing their leadership skills as a key business partner. In this role, the individual will serve a vital function by applying finance skills to prepare financial reporting and forecasting on multiple defense programs; use metrics associated with management best practices; and prepare reports and forecasts with a focus on Orders, Revenue, Profit, and Cash Flow, and provides early insights into program health through ongoing analysis of performance data.

 Essential Functions:

  • Acts as the subject matter expert for financial performance of their programs, providing management with an early warning of potential performance issues, identifying risks and offering solutions.
  • Guide program financials including development of time-phased integrated budgets and schedules, Earned Value (EV) data compliance and reporting, cost accounting and ongoing overseeing of cost and schedule integration.
  • Budgeting, cost control and variance analysis, internal/external reporting, risk management and financial support.
  • Development of quarterly EACs; analyze/assist in accurate projection of Estimate to Complete (ETC), Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) data.
  • Generate program financial artifacts such as EV reports, graphs, and analysis, as required to include customer reporting.
  • Educate PMO and CAMs with internal reports on cost and schedule performance.
  • Provides suggestions and implementation of new process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financials.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, OR a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, 8 years of prior related experience will be considered.
  • 2+ years’ experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS) reporting.
  • 2+ years’ experience preparing and supporting Program Reviews.
  • 2+ years’ experience with customer financial reporting.
  • 2+ years’ experience with financial forecasting and analysis.
  • 2+ years’ experience partnering with Program Management and functional teams to drive program success.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with a financial ERP system (PeopleSoft preferred).
  • Experience with financial forecasting tools such as Hyperion.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management tools such as Cobra.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $76,500-$141,500This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
