Job Description:
Performs integration, test, installation and customer support, as well as performing necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of Electronic Support Measures (ESM) and Electronic Intelligent (ELINT) equipment. Tests and approves operational quality of system equipment. Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters. Interprets customers' needs and collaborates with various functional disciplines to appropriately address. Up to 60 days of continuous travel may be required.
Essential Functions:
- Perform integration and testing per procedures of various ESM Systems.
- Perform field installation of ESM/ELINT systems within the Continental United States (CONUS) & outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) customer sites.
- Set up and operate Radio Frequency (RF) test equipment in accordance with test procedures.
- Utilize RF test equipment to demonstrate proper function or to analyze malfunctions using manufacturer’s manuals and specifications.
- Repair, replace and adjust equipment or components.
- Inspection of RF components of equipment for accurate assembly and for defects such as loose screws, nuts connections and frayed wires.
- Consult with other Field Engineers, supervisors, and other engineers to plan layout of equipment and to resolve problems in system operations and maintenance.
- Perform installation of repaired equipment in various settings, such as industrial and military establishments.
- Ability to climb both vertical ladders and stairways and work in tight spaces.
- To stand, kneel, extend overhead for prolong periods of time.
- Complete all required documentation for review and submission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Depart of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance required
- If none, must be able to attain clearance
- Onboarding is contingent upon clearance received/approved
- Minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting equipment, reading and interpreting RF/electronic/mechanical schematics
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Capable of performing test, assisting in shipping, packing, installing, and operating RF/ESM systems/equipment at various remote locations
- Solid understanding and experience operating RF and electronic testing tools and equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.)
- Capable of troubleshooting and repairing RF systems/equipment by reading and interpreting schematics and by using test equipment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Capable of generating presentations and briefing internal and external customers
- Effective communication skills in a collaborative team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with OSHA requirements and ESD best practices
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $75,000-$139,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
