Job Description:

Manage and oversee all Supply Chain activities for purchased material items including influencing design for supply chain success, material requisitioning, prioritization, material status, receipt, inventory, and customer disposition. Support procurement efforts to maximize cost effectiveness within the schedule requirements of each assigned contract. Determine supply chain risks, establish mitigation plans, and execute on the defined plans to deliver the most effective means of acquisition, receipt, distribution, and inventory management for programs. Report material budget variances and supply chain health problems to the appropriate function and program for resolution.

Essential Functions:

  • Subject matter expert for Supply Chain principles and concepts, data analytics, strategy development and execution in compliance with FAR, MMAS, MAAR-13, and CAS.
  • Collaborate with the program team to define appropriate execution methods to meet cash flow, cost, and schedule objectives upon program startup and during rolling wave.
  • Solve problems of high complexity by leveraging experience and through analysis of data. Identify trends and correlations in Material Management data. Report findings with recommended actions.
  • Interpret data from cross functional sources/influences; identify trends and correlations in the data. Develop action plans to address problematic trends and escalate large issues with functionally approved action plans.
  • Thorough comprehension of the use and purpose of MRP and supporting systems such as Control, Cognos, PeopleSoft Financials, and PDM and the interfaces between each. Develop acquisition solutions to service the needs of the program.
  • Work independently. Guidance provided in complex situations.
  • Must be able to obtain U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Education / experience (Material Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Marketing, Operations Management or Business Management):
    • Master’s Degree and 4+ years Material Management/relevant experience* or
    • Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years Material Management/relevant experience*
    • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience*

*Total relevant experience to be minimum 4 years in Material Management, and a combination of one or more of the following directly related to Supply Chain, MM, Material Planning, MRP/MPS, completed internship, coursework, or practical experience that demonstrates analytical ability, strategy development and execution.

  • 4 years of experience using MRP systems software.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, WORD, Excel (including pivot tables, V-lookup, etc.), PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience using MRP systems software
  • Master Production Scheduling experience
  • Thorough understanding of FAR, MMAS, MAAR-13, and CAS
  • Subject matter expert for Supply Chain principles, concepts, and practices
  • Able to communicate effectively with a wide array of management and professional levels and functions
  • Understanding of and basic knowledge of the manufacturing process
  • Experience working in the US DOD manufacturing industry
  • Working knowledge of Visio
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey areas is $77,500.00- $144,500.
