BASIC FUNCTION General function or overall purpose of position.
Protect the life and property of L3Harris, its employees and visitors to L3Harris facilities. Perform the duties required at assigned posts. Complete additional "special" responsibilities, as assigned.
SCOPE
Perform security activities in support of all value centers located in the Clifton, NJ facility.
WORK PERFORMED List in order of importance.

Perform all duties and assignments of a post until properly relieved.

Monitor and respond to all emergency situations in the facility.

Submit daily reports on the activity of their posts as well as incident reports, as required.

Complete assigned rounds, reporting all employees who damage or misuse company property, or violate safety rules, regulations or other published L3Harris policies. Report on improperly secured Closed and Restricted Areas.

Control physical access to the facility, including:

Physically check the ID of all personnel entering the facility and verify authorization for access.

Maintain a written log of the time of arrival, time of departure, name, signature, purpose and destination of all visitors, and issue appropriate visitor badge.

Assist and direct visitors to their proper destination.

Administer the temporary badge system for current employees.

Prevent any prohibited items from being brought into the facility.

Operate and monitor the CCTV, facility card access, burglar, and fire alarm systems. Report any unusual activities, alarms or discrepancies.

Answer telephone calls to the general facility phone number (or calls that are bounced to that number) and transfer to the appropriate party, as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Relates to job, not any particular incumbent.

Equivalent Education Level Required
High School Diploma or GED. Certification in Basic First Aid, CPR, and the use of Automatic Electronic Defibrillators
(AEDs) and fire extinguishers.

Experience Required
Two or more years of relevant experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
Ability to work independently. Ability to obtain a security clearance. Knowledge of word processing and electronic
communications software. Written and verbal communications skills. Knowledge of equipment utilized in performance
of duties. Knowledge of L3Harris security-related and relevant EH&S policies and procedures. Knowledge of relevant
regulations and rules for securing facilities, classified materials and all other L3Harris property. Position requires a valid driver's license. Knowledge of L3Harris' policies regarding use of company vehicles and NJ driver’s license to operate registered company vehicles.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Refer to the physical requirements and environmental factors identified in the Functional Job Analysis. Must be able to pass all applicable medical exams.
5. Business Contacts (Internal and External)
Frequent contact with all levels of personnel. External contact with facility visitors, outside emergency services personnel, and any other party communicating via telephone.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $22.44. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
