Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer with expertise in AWS and Azure to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. This role requires proficiency in scripting, Python, Terraform, and Jenkins.
Essential Functions:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
- Execute throughout the full development lifecycle including requirements flow-down and allocation, design, development, test, and sell-off.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate the deployment process.
- Write and maintain scripts for automation using Python and other scripting languages.
- Utilize Terraform to define and provision infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
- Implement and manage security best practices and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in cloud computing and DevOps.
- Communicate with leadership on status, issues, milestones, and successes which requires strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Provide technical leadership to drive technical and programmatic execution.
- Perform metrics collection and analysis to maintain and improve team performance.
- Plan, coordinate, and define the scope of work that needs to be accomplished by the DevOps team.
- Interface with both program and business leadership to report program status, progress, and technical issues.
- Interface and interact with customers to ensure products meet customer needs.
- Interface with cross-discipline teams in support of system development, design, and integration efforts.
- Leadership of agile programs and waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain Secret security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of software experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of software experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of software experience.
- Secret Security Clearance.
- 8+ years of experience in a lead DevOps engineering role with complex designs.
- 5 years experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- 5 years scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Experience with RTOS & C++.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- AWS and/or Azure certifications.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Understanding of network security principles and practices.
- Direct customer interface experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $158,500 - $294,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
