Job Description:
As a quality inspector, you will perform product inspections in accordance with the applicable specifications and drawing requirements, and review supporting assembly instructions. Additionally, you will conduct process inspections following manufacturing instructions and perform process audits to assess operator competency on critical and certified processes. Engaging with a cross-functional team of operators and engineers, you will provide feedback on process and product-related non-conformances. Your role includes maintaining quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished hardware on highly complex electronic and mechanical assemblies. Furthermore, you will participate in cross-functional Gembas.
Essential Functions:
- Perform initial, in process and final inspections of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) and Micro Circuit Assemblies (MCA) in accordance with the applicable specifications/ drawing and IPC requirements.
- Perform As-Built verifications at open cover and final inspections.
- Documents and record non-conformances and interface with Operators to provide feedback for proper root cause and corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- Experience in micro circuits and/or circuit card assemblies
- Experience evaluating complex electronic hardware, under magnification, to IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001
- Certified, or the ability to obtain certification to the above referenced workmanship standards
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge and/or experience with Agile/PdM, FRACAS, Zeus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to both internal and external customers.
- Working knowledge of quality assurance principles.
- Strong ability to focus, prioritize, and multi-task successfully to drive tasks to closure to support customer commitments and business objectives.
- Understanding of Windows environment including standard Microsoft Office tools is strongly preferred.
