Job Description:

 

This position is responsible for detailed analysis of the master program schedule, including status, performance, network logic, and critical path. The role provides measurable input on new products, processes, or standards in operational plans, which will impact the achievement of overall functional results. It involves communicating within and outside of one's function or business area, including with external parties such as customers and vendors when necessary. The role requires explaining, interpreting, and gaining cooperation on policies, procedures, and practices. It contributes to the development of departmental goals and planning efforts, such as budgets and operational plans. The individual establishes short-term operational plans with measurable contributions to the function or business area results. Extensive investigation is conducted to understand the root cause of problems, which span a wide range of difficult and unique issues across the function and/or business area. The role involves developing new concepts or standards. The individual attends and leads scheduling status reviews and conducts briefings with senior leaders, requiring the ability to communicate important matters to the function or business area. The role works to influence others to accept individual or team views, practices, and changes to concepts, practices, and approaches. It includes participating in schedule training, engineering, and program excellence organization. The individual works to achieve operational targets within the job area, which has some impact on department results.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Create and track plans and schedules, perform risk analysis, identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts
  • Manage complex projects or processes with general oversight
  • Provide support, guidance, coaching, and training to other employees
  • Communicate within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures
  • Make moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes
  • Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results
  • Perform schedule analysis in support of assigned programs or projects
  • Utilize Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, Earned Value Management, and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas
  • Prepare, develop, and coordinate integrated master plan and integrated master schedule (IMP/IMS) using MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ensure projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
  • Ensure compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines
  • Work consists of making significant improvements of processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; Or, Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Monte Carlos Risk Analysis 
  • Structured Solutions - SSI tools management
  • Program management and/or Coordination, SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) process
  • Critical thinking and problem solving, attention to detail and quality of product deliverables
  • EVMS – Earned Value Management Systems
  • 3 years of MS Project Experience
  • Experience creating and/or maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and any Supporting Schedules on assigned projects/programs; creating and presenting project-level reports, presentations and deliverables that reflect risk and status to program management and senior management relating to the IMS is required

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey state is $61,500-$114,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
