Job Description:
Supervises the functions of Warehousing, Material Handling, Traffic, Receiving, Shipping, and explosive storage. Compiles records related to the quantity, cost, and type of materials received, in stock, or issued. Instruct employees to identify damaged or incorrect materials and equipment and notify the appropriate individuals. Supervises employees using various equipment, such as forklifts, hand carts, and power trucks, to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within the plant, office, or warehouse. Oversee the processing and delivery of supplies, materials, and equipment. Manage the daily operations of the above departments, ensuring inbound and outbound freight schedules are met, corporate policies and procedures are adhered to, and equipment and staff are utilized optimally to maximize productivity. Ensures compliance with 49 CFR and IATA regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct basic supervisory functions such as work scheduling, prioritizing, and process execution and personnel management.
- Operate WMS system to ensure overall inventory accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels for direct, indirect, and MRO materials.
- Lead the team in internal and external audits.
- Champion Corrective Actions Requests.
- Ensure Associates are complying with procedures and policies.
- Manage team training.
- No travel required, occasional overtime hours required.
Qualifications:
- Understands basic supervisory approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, and process execution. Typically requires practical knowledge of technical or operational practices within assigned discipline. Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Perform tasks using a ladder with possible heights up to 10ft. Capable of bending, twisting, and lifting to 40 lbs.
- 2 years or more experience with basic/intermediate Microsoft and computer knowledge.
- Ability to learn the WMS system (Costpoint/Cognos) and process transactions electronically and physically to ensure overall inventory accuracy.
- Must be able to qualify as an ATF Responsible Person.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Demonstrated aptitude in DOT regulations.
- Experience with HAZMAT handling and shipping.
- Experience with Lean and/or Electronic Manufacturing.
- APICS Certification.
