Job Descrption:

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Electrician Helper who will perform installations, maintenance, rip out cables, run cables, banding, opening and closing MCT’s, mounting equipment and doing helper duties under direction of the ship lead on Navy vessels.

Essential Functions:

• Install, maintain, and repair shipboard electrical systems and equipment under direction.
• Install and route cables from point A to point B.
• Install electrical equipment, lighting systems, communication systems, alarm systems, and auxiliary shipboard equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with Navy specifications and maintenance procedures.
• Ensure to wear PPE and follow all safety standards, OSHA regulations and policies.
• Work effectively in confined spaces, elevated locations, and aboard vessels under construction, repair, or overhaul.
• Collaborate with other trades, supervisors, inspectors and personnel to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition. 

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Naval ships.
• Ability to obtain Naval Base and shipyard access.
• Minimal knowledge of Naval electrical systems.
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing requirement.
• Must be able to frequently climb ladders, stairs and scaffolds
• Must be able to work in confined spaces, tanks, bilges and other restricted-access areas.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull material and equipment up to 50 pounds.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas is $46,400 MIN - $68,880 MAX. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $54,400 MIN - $76,880 MAX.
