Job Description:
As a Systems Engineer - Intel & Cyber you will lead and contribute to the development of leading-edge technologies that deliver mission-critical solutions for our customers. In this role you will perform technical planning, concept of operations definition, requirements elicitation and derivation, and analyses throughout the system lifecycle. In addition, you will perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition in a model-based system engineering environment.
Essential Functions:
- Develop electronic hardware and software architectures and designs based on system level requirements
- Develop internal requirements, CONOPs and interface control documents from customer / product requirements
- Support full system development lifecycle including concept, design fabrication, production, test, installation, operations, maintenance and disposal
- Interact with senior program managers and customers to define approaches and strategies
- Lead trade studies to identify solutions which meet requirements
- Provide guidance to development teams at internal and external gate reviews such as technical baseline reviews and design reviews
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
- Ensure the logical and systemic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions which meet technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Obtain and maintain any additional clearances as required
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in mechanical, electrical, or Systems Engineering and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience developing internal requirements, CONOPs and interface control documents from customer product requirements, and customer interface
- Minimum of 5 years experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams including customer facing engagements
- Possess and Active TS/SCI Security Clearance and ability to obtain and maintain FS Poly
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration and/or project management, and/or model-based systems engineering
- Demonstrated experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
- Systems Integration of subsystems and multi-segment systems
- Familiarity with mechanical and photonics
- Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)
