Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Senior Specialist in Software Configuration Management to join our team. This role involves planning, documenting, and executing processes to ensure adherence to company standards and contractual obligations. The specialist will manage software configurations, oversee the release of software builds, conduct configuration audits, and provide support for engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all software products are controlled and traceable.
- Manage and release software builds and updates.
- Organize and conduct software configuration control board meetings, including agenda preparation and action item tracking.
- Conduct audits to confirm compliance with contractual requirements.
- Produce software media for distribution to customers.
Qualifications:
- Active SECRET clearance required.
- Bachelor's degree in software, computer science, or a related technical field, or at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in a Software Configuration Management role.
- Keen attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet critical deadlines.
- Proficiency with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with software configuration management practices.
- Familiarity with Agile software development lifecycle.
- Background in a dynamic development/integration environment with continuous changes.
- Skills in creating, archiving, and managing software builds and releases.
- Knowledge of version control and defect management tools such as IBM Rational (ClearQuest, ClearCase) and Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Git, Bitbucket).
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $86,500 - $160,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
