Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Associate, Manufacturing Engineer to work with manufacturing operations fully on site at our ARDE Facility located in Carlstadt NJ.  ARDE designs and manufactures pressure vessels (tanks) for Aerospace applications. This is a dynamic environment that requires motivated, self-starting individuals with hands-on experience. Manufacturing Engineers are responsible for manufacturing activities including tooling design and process development. They must be able to follow company procedures and requirements for the manufacture of advanced, man-rated, and high value aerospace hardware.
 

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, develop, initiate and maintain processes for the fabrication of pressure vessels. Create detailed work instructions, procedures that meet design, process, quality, safety, and environmental requirements. Provide shop floor support of manufacturing processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and/or training to the shop floor. Review engineering drawings for manufacturability. Interface with all of the related support groups for processes to ensure accuracy, control and safety of the personnel and quality of the hardware.
  • Perform investigations of nonconforming hardware and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Work with Planning to issue shop orders and create shipping documents for in-process services.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is desired.
  • Experience with surface preparation for primary substrates to bond rubber or composite materials.
  • Experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Precision assembly of aerospace hardware.
  • Experience with operations such as welding or machining.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and six sigma principles.

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $72,000 to $133,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
