Job Description:
Responsible for research, design, and development of computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development. Primarily responsible for the design and development of infrastructure to integrate, validate, and certify cryptographic products. Participates in all phases of the development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test. Applies computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of software for the target application. Works closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system. Develops software test procedures, test plans, automated testing software, and related documentation. Contributes to determining, estimating, and validating the cost and scope of software efforts to ensure software performed meets program cost, schedule, and technical constraints. A Secret Clearance is required for this position.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and perform system validation, test, and qualificaiton as part of an agile multidisciplinary development team
- Embedded systems software engineering in test
- Embedded or applications developer
- System infrastructure development; scripting, automation, data visualization & dashboarding
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 12 years of prior related experience.
- Secret security Clearance required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience using C, C++, or Python 3.0
- Previous experience with Object Oriented Programming
- Previous experience with embedded systems, debuggers, memory maps, multi-processor/FPGA designs.
- Ability to pick up new software, frameworks and APIs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent software design, problem solving, and debugging skills
- Experience with or desire to learn Linux
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Experience with developing software monitoring and embedded software to validate requirements and provide sufficient test coverage
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (git), development tools (Eclipse, Visual Studio, etc.), and agile development methodologies
- Experience with light-weight deployable test infrastructures
- Knowledge of TCP/IP network fundamentals is a plus
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $132,000 - $245,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $115,000 - $213,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
