Job Description:

This is an Inventory Management Support position in support of manufacturing operations. Candidate must be capable of performing all physical or administrative tasks involved in the receiving, storing, shipping, and/or distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a cross-functional team.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Receive, inspect, and log all incoming shipments of parts, materials, and equipment in compliance with L3Harris procedures.
  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
  • Maintains accurate records of received goods, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.
  • Support internal and external audits and quality control requirements through proper documentation and inventory traceability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, logistics, and program management teams.
  • Stocks materials into inventory storage locations.
  • Packs or prepares items for delivery to internal and external customers, including small kits and large systems.
  • Package, label, and ship outgoing materials according to company and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments in accordance with DoD, ITAR, and commercial shipping regulations.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery and pick-up of critical components.
  • Track and manage inventory using ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Organize and maintain lab areas in compliance with L3Harris safety, 5S, and lean principles.
  • Performs regular inventory cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Be in a stationary position for 75% of hourly shift (shifts are 9 hours Monday – Thursday and 8 hours on working Friday).
  • Capable of transporting up to 25lb

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have a Secret Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an inventory management /material handling role
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with an automated MRP system within a manufacturing environment to manage material
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience using Microsoft Office Suite in a manufacturing business environment
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience performing accurate cycle counts
  • Ability to work evenings, ocassional “off” Fridays and weekends as needed to meet company objectives.
  • Previous receiving experience unpacking goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Ability to maintain records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
  • Previous stockroom or warehouse experience including picking, put away, and cycle counting.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety
  • Quality cautious with accurate counting ability
  • Understanding of hazardous materials classifications and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to support lab staff in equipment maintanence or basic experimetal prep, if needed. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • DOT/IATA hazmat shipping certification preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $42,500 - $79,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
