Job Description:
The Process Engineering Technician D is responsible for providing engineering and assembly support to Manufacturing’s production teams. Primary duties include dispositioning NC’s, red-lining processes and drawings, submitting problem reports, reviewing or providing input into Engineering Change Requests, and training/mentoring of manufacturing personnel. Additional duties may include dispositioning Problem Reports, make process updates, and assembling or reworking product. The Engineering Technician will work with multiple job families including Test Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Design/System Engineering, Inspection and Assembly.
Essential Functions:
- Assist production teams with daily manufacturing and prototype assemblies
- Reviews and make recommendations on process, work instruction, and/or tooling improvements
- Process work assigned to the process engineering work center dispatch
- Collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering to determine root cause of failures and identify potential rework or repair opportunities
- Collects and analyzes quality related data and offers corrective action(s) to help eliminate future failures from occurring
- Participates in process improvement activities
- Provides input into Bills of Process
- Support OT (nights, weekends, extended hours) as needed to meet schedule requirements
- Insure performance against organizational goals for yield and process capability
- Actively participate in Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations
- Partners with other organizations to create and execute improved manufacturing plans which drive measurable improvements to the portion of the Company’s AOP that falls within this role’s span of control.

Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Fully proficient knowledge of electromechanical assemblies and associated manufacturing techniques and practices
- Extensive knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and J-STD workmanship criteria
- Fully proficient in basic Analog, Digital and RF circuitry
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics, wire lists, wire diagrams, blueprints, and work instructions
- Ability to work proficiently in SAP ECC, NAV, and Teamcenter
- MS Office skills
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $73,000 - $135,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $63,500 - $117,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
