Job Description:  

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that quality requirements are integrated and captured in various special processes utilized in the Canoga Park facility. This role necessitates a strong understanding of industry standards, internal command media and extensive practical experience to support development and deployment of best practices. The QPE is expected to coordinate with internal and external customers to quickly resolve manufacturing issues and utilize their technical background to proactively drive process improvements.

This position will have a heavy emphasis on Configurations Operations processes.

Essential Functions: 

• Leads audit and inspection preparation, resolves findings, and serves as liaison with auditors, inspectors, and DCMA on quality-related matters.
• Manages quality projects and coordinates cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Develops, analyzes, and reports quality metrics and production quality data to assess process and program health.
• Conducts investigations, studies, and research to resolve recurring discrepancies and improve process performance.
• Supports the Quality function through product integrity and quality control activities, including as-built BOM development, hardware traceability, and acceptance data package creation.
• Supports development and implementation of program quality plans, procedures, and standards compliance activities.
• Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders to communicate requirements, resolve issues, and recommend corrective actions, dispositions, and process improvements.
• Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, to provide technical explanations, build agreement, and support decision-making.
• Works toward operational targets within the job area that contribute to overall team and program results.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Expertise with PTC Windchill and manufacturing planning tools such as Delmia.
• Working knowledge of Quality Configuration Operations practices, principles, and Configuration Management best practices.
• Knowledge of system validation processes.
• Experience with risk management processes and PFMEA.
• Familiarity with ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Ability to manage, analyze, audit, interpret, and evaluate large data sets and processes.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the State of California is $84,000 - $156,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
