Job Description:

  • The Senior Manager of the Facilities Engineering Department leads a team of experienced professionals comprised of Project Engineers, Design Engineers and Contract Coordinators, that is responsible for CapEx projects for: Installation or modification of Manufacturing, Process and Lab equipment; and Facility Expansion and Modifications; as well as Service Contracts that maintain critical infrastructure at the Canoga Park site. Additionally, this roles includes Project Management of a large Missile Defense Capital Project that will expand output at the site. This role requires a blend of Leadership, Project Management, Strategic/Tactical Planning, Facilities expertise and coordinating across multiple functions to ensure project goals are met, with minimal disruption to operations at the site.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and direct a team of Facility professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management. Maintain employee training and critical skills. Foster a collaborative environment to create a productive and cohesive team while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Project Management: Develop a project plan and strategy to increase Missile Defense capacity at the Canoga Park site and implement the project with required internal department resources and external contractor support meet program quality, cost, and schedule commitments. This role will be the primary point of contact and focal for the site capital effort.
  • Support Site Audits: Support internal and external audits of the Facilities area. Drive root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective action on any findings.
  • Support & Drive Safety: Identify, report, and eliminate unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. Work with your team to implement safety improvements and drive a culture that promotes and builds a safe environment.
  • Off-hours Support: Participate in a schedule rotation as the Maintenance Duty Manager where several weeks out of the year is available on a 24/7 for any Facilities related emergency or urgent situation that arises.
  • Work cooperatively with multi-functional groups such as Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S), Maintenance, Security, Supply Chain, Finance, and others for the successful planning, implementation, and completion of Facilities projects and services.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Previous experience in Facilities is required with leadership position preferred
  • Proven financial analysis and budgeting expertise are required – VAR analysis, EAC’s, and forecasting
  • Proven process improvement experience with leadership or facilitator background preferred – Kaizen and VSM events.
  • High level of Safety and Customer focus.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities while handling competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and quality of deliverables.
  • Strong skills in leadership, teamwork, Risk and Opportunity Management, and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, customer personnel, outside agencies, suppliers and others.
  • Ability to work with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), for example Maestro.

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $133,000 - $247,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $115,500 - $214,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
